"Every Flower is a soul blossoming in nature."
- Gerard De Nerval
Choosing flowers for your corsage can be a bit overwhelming. Your best option is to talk to your florist directly about the style of your dress and your own personal style. Then let your florist choose the specific flowers based on what you discussed and what is available.
However it is always good to familiarize yourself first with some of the most common flowers. This way if there are any that you aren't super cool with you are able to let your florist know. There are also lots of flowers that are beautiful, but are just too delicate to last a night or even a few hours at graduation, especially in this Alberta climate. Our climate is so dry that once the flowers lose their water supply, the air literally sucks the moisture out of them. Within a short amount of time your beautiful corsage looks like it was rode hard and put away wet. And nobody wants that. Definitely not us! So here is a little sample list of some of the best flowers for corsages, boutonnieres, hair pieces, and floral crowns .
